I do a complete show of Gord's music and use the same guitars he does to enhance the authenticity and sound. Most tribute artists aren't that meticulous.
I have 2-1963 Gibson Sunburst B45-12 guitars which are the same 12 string guitars Gord uses for his classics like "Sundown" and "The Canadian Railroad Trilogy"; all songs that are in my set lists. The Gibson 12 string guitars of the early 1960's were the best ever made and there aren't many of them left. I also have a Martin D-18 6 string acoustic guitar to use as well, just like Gord plays.
I impersonate Gord's voice and guitar playing style and have been playing guitar for 41 years with 30 years of live experience. If you close your eyes, you would think you were listening to Gord play solo. I use my own sound system and microphones so no equipment is needed to be supplied by the client.
I perform at private functions, corporate events, conferences, fund raisers, house concerts and anywhere where this type of music would be appreciated and enjoyed. There's no band; just one man and a guitar but it makes the experience more intimate.
